November 3rd 2005
Mid level instability shows itself in the form of these altocumulus bases, in the wake of a trough that passed over the Victorian central districts on this day. The day also ended with a top sunset...

October 29th 2005
Spring rains have ensured that Steavenson Falls, near Marysville, Victoria had a good flow of water and David captured the following images during the afternoon.

An upper low caused showers around Melbourne and provided some showers and interesting convection over Melbourne's east during the afternoon. These images captured looking west from Chirnside Park.

September 17th - Mt Donna Buang, Victoria

Today a low pressure system brought cloud, showers and snow to Victoria and I thought I should get at least one snow chase in before the storm season proper is here. Quite a contrast to last weekends chasing in NSW with convective storms. Nonetheless, a fun afternoon and as usual, countless photographic opportunities.

By the way, when driving in snow, don't if you have a volvo or can't handle the conditions, or worse still, in this guys case, both!

September 16th - Yarra Valley

A nice active trough and cold front passed through Victoria later today and the arrival of the colder air was marked by a prominent line of showers and a weakish squall line. The following images taken looking to the western horizon from Chirnside Park between 1730hrs and 1800hrs.
