Mt Barrow
December 30th 2005

At 1413m, Mount Barrow is one of the tallest of the mountains which form the northeast highlands. Being close to Launceston it is ideal for bushwalking, picnics, nature study, spectacular views and scenery. It is also a popular location for rock-climbing and hang-gliding.

Mt Barrow is also a living testament to the sustainability and viability of retention logging..."leaving the best and taking the rest..."

The Mount Barrow State Reserve covers an area of 459 ha and features interesting geological formations, rainforest and alpine vegetation and magnificent views.
