  • No new posts Into Thin Air - Himalayan Trek Sept/Oct 2009
Jason Hoyle & David Simpson are off to Tibet and Nepal, commencing September 18th 2009. Working their way through Tibet they will visit monastaries, temples, villages and travel through the vast and beautiful Tibetan countryside. Then onto Nepal, trekking with the aid of porters, yaks and sherpas through forests, valleys and some of the worlds highest and most beautiful mountain passes trekking to Mt Everest Base Camp. They also hope to summit Kalar Patar, at 5545m.

We have set this part of the forum up for our families and friends and anyone interested to track how we're going, and when we return it will be a good place to put some photos. Updates will be posted here whenever possible. Web access is going to be a little challenging. but please feel free to leave comments and messages here too.

  • The Cannibal RUN!
Commencing Nov 17th a group of Tasmanian bushwalkers embark on an epic journey to retrace the steps of convict and self-confessed cannibal Alexander Pearce through some of the most inhospitable and treacherous Tasmanian wilderness imagineable, from Coal Head at Macquarie Harbour to the junction of the Ouse and Shannon Rivers. Please join in the discussion as we preview and review this amazing expedition. There will also be updates coming in from the crew as the expedition progresses (via Satellite phone).
