STORMPLANET - Brisbane Stormchase @ 22,000ft!

February 25th 2004 and I am aboard a flight from Brisbane back home to Melbourne. Climbing through 22,000ft (pilot announced height as I took these images) I was fortunate enough to be able to capture these digital images of storms north of Brisbane. The images were taken at around 1615hrs local time, or 0615hrs UTC. The more I look at the images, the more significant some of the features appear to be, it's not often we get to be this close to the tops of storm cells and I consider myself very lucky indeed! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! I also was able to capture some Pyrocumulus development about 20 minutes NE of Melbourne on descent into Tullamarine.
